The Bell Inn Haughton – Village Pub & Restaurant

About Us

Meet the Team!

Hannah

(Landlady)

I stepped into hospitality at the age of 15, working as a waitress in restaurants in the Cheshire area.

I moved to Watford at the age of 18, where I started to learn the Bar with a large company where I learnt a lot!

Then I moved back to Cheshire where I continued to work the bar and restaurant for a further 12 years; furthering my knowledge into cellar management, ensuring cask ales were perfection.

I then moved to Staffordshire and took a 17 year break from hospitality, working for the adult learning disability complex needs; I went out in local communities which furthered my knowledge, whilst getting to know and support my community. Since then, I still continue to run my own community Art Group to give the community the support as I feel extremely passionate about the need for this!

I then went into retail where I owned my own gift shop in a local village, again working with the local community and also continuing my community Art Group with a local Pub who supported me with this, but then Covid hit…

I then step back into hospitality where I met Bikash , and as a team, we worked really well together, getting to know our customers and community and providing a great service within hospitality!

And our next steps are where we are now…

We are looking forward to welcoming you to the Bell 🔔 🤩

(Head Chef)

My culinary journey began 20 years ago in the vibrant city of Dubai, where I first entered the kitchen as a humble kitchen porter. This initial role was my gateway to the world of gastronomy, teaching me the foundational principles of kitchen management, discipline, and the relentless pursuit of culinary excellence.

In a few years, I transitioned from the porter role, gradually climbing the ranks to become a chef. This journey wasn’t just a professional evolution, but a cultural and culinary exploration. Working in Dubai, a melting pot of global cuisines, allowed me to immerse myself in a variety of cooking styles, from traditional Middle Eastern dishes to innovative fusion cuisine.

In 2011, I embarked on a new chapter in the United Kingdom, bringing a breath of fresh air to the UK’s gastronomic scene. Over the last 12 years, I have been at the forefront of the culinary industry, showcasing the mastery in a variety of settings – from bustling city bistros to community pubs. Their approach to cooking is marked by a commitment to quality, creativity, and an unyielding passion for delighting the palate.

Beyond my culinary expertise, I am equally dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene. I have completed extensive training in food hygiene and allergen management, ensuring that every dish not only tantalizes the taste buds but is also prepared with the utmost care and consideration for health and safety standards.

A significant turn in my career came when I met Hannah where we used to work together in one of the community pubs. The shared passion for hospitality and culinary excellence sparked not just a personal connection but also a professional partnership. Together, we are now embarking on an exciting new venture: opening our own pub. This establishment promises to be a culmination of my journey – blending the vibrant flavours with the hearty essence of British pub cuisine, all wrapped in the warmth and community spirit that pubs are renowned for.

We can’t wait to welcome you!
